D-MOTION
Smart lighting
on a human scale
Lighting is much more than just seeing things. It impacts our mood, our sleep/wake cycle and is largely responsible for our appreciation of our surroundings. The time of day, what we are doing and the environment are decisive when selecting the right lighting to suit our needs and also to save energy.
The D-Motion collection, a package of luminaires and control systems, is used to control brightness and tone of white with a simple touch. The combination of these two parameters, following the daily circadian rhythm, is used to control light sources in relation to the specific environmental conditions where they are installed, the activities undertaken and of course the user’s expectations, from higher, cooler values in the morning to intermediate neutrals in the afternoon and lower, warm ones in the evening.
The right combination of light

8 AM
At dawn, bright lighting with a high colour rendering helps us to quickly start the day.
In the bathroom, and at breakfast, a highly natural and brilliant white light is recommended for the perfect perception of objects and a good dose of energy.
The perfect lighting mix in the early morning is a colour temperature of around 4000 K, with medium/high brightness.

2 PM
Sunlight is the best source there is: it improves our mood and is beneficial to the human body.
On sunny days, the high rendering of natural light allows us to switch artificial lights off, helping us to save energy. This is why a lighting system designed to simulate natural light helps us to perform all our visual tasks, increasing concentration, reducing fatigue and maintaining our physical and mental well-being.
The perfect mix for a daytime light effect is a colour temperature of around 4000 K and maximum, 100% brightness.

9 PM
The importance of lighting carries on into the evening.
After a day spent working or studying, relaxation becomes a priority. Therefore, as in nature, also at home it’s better to reduce the brightness of the lighting, choosing warm, comfortable shades.
Light projection is also very important, and luminaires with indirect light create a pleasantly relaxing atmosphere, preparing for the night-time sleep cycle. The perfect mix for evening lighting is a colour temperature of around 2700 K with moderate brightness.
Create a D-Motion
lighting system in four steps
#1
Choose your D-Motion light
All D-Motion luminaires integrate a special LED technology which, controlled by multi-function systems, is used to select and control the white tone of the light. Each luminaire is configured for 24Vdc power with a two-pole cable and Micro24 connector. A wide range of LED strips, spotlights, architectural luminaires and profiles to choose from.
Some luminaires are fitted as standard with a control system used to switch them on and off and control the brightness and white tone of the light.

#2
Choose the power supply
If the luminaire already has a control system (D-Motion sensor) you can use any standard 24Vdc power supply. Otherwise, use an X-DRIVER D-Motion multi-function power supply interfaced with the DOMUS4U BLE and DOMUS4U WIFI apps on your smartphone, or with voice-controlled devices Amazon Alexa and Google Home. All D-Motion luminaires without integrated control systems can also be powered with EASi DRIVER in combination with the EASi DISK remote control.
#3
Choose a control system
D-Motion luminaires without an integrated control system must be connected to an external one. D-Motion control devices are used to select the colour temperature and luminous flux in both dynamic or step mode. Choose from touchless switches, remote controls, our DOMUS4U BLE and DOMUS4U WIFI apps, and even voice-controlled devices Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

#4
Configure the light to suit your needs
Whatever the room you live, study or work in, it is important to ensure it is correctly lit, with a balanced brightness and more effective white tone. With D-Motion lighting systems, using just a few simple controls you can decide on the right combination of sunlight and artificial lighting, controlling the colour and brightness to suit the activities you and the people around you are doing. Preparing dinner, working, studying, reading a book or simply relaxing, correct lighting has positive effects on the brain’s concentration levels, our physical and mental well-being and our physical health.
