Domus Line and Chapas y Maderas Importadas S.A. (CYMISA), its long-standing Mexican premium partner, have recently consolidated their strategic collaboration by founding Domus Line Internacional, a newco that sees the two important entities joining forces to preside over and expand the lighting device market dedicated to the furniture sector in the LATAM area.
With Domus Line Internacional we want to bring the best furniture lighting design to the whole of Latin America. The collaboration with Domus Line, a leader in this sector, is strategic and aims to increase our market presence and arouse interest in products that combine design and innovation,” says Carlos Cook, CEO of the new company.
The site is strategically located in Toluca, Mexico, and integrates operational, technical-sales and logistics departments. It will soon also include a production area for the customisation of linear luminaires, in a bid to offer customers a ‘to-the-millimetre’ service. This production hub will in fact ensure flexibility and shorter delivery times in all the markets it covers.
“Domus Line Internacional is the natural evolution of a ten-year collaboration. With the official kick-off of Domus Line Internacional, Domus Line and CYMISA bring to the Latin American area not only passion and taste for design, but also an organisational structure characterised by efficiency and flexibility: two traits that distinguish both companies”, clarifies Tommaso Rigoli, International Business Developer of Domus Line.
The partnership’s well-established presence in more than ten countries in the region is the basis for expanding its presidium to the rest of the Latin American region and increasing market share through Domus Line Internacional, the first and only manufacturer of luminaires for furniture manufacturers in Central and South America.
Domus Line Internacional is part of the company’s international expansion strategy, which aims to foster growth through partnerships with new production facilities and sales branches. “Domus Line continues the process of expanding its operational presence in the most strategic areas globally. A process that began in 2020 with Domus Line Deutschland, is now proceeding with Domus Line Internacional and which foresees further steps in the near future,” explains Davide Bottani, Global Business Developer at Domus Line.

Today, Domus Line is present all over the world thanks to four production plants: one in Italy, where the headquarters are located, another one in Germany, where Domus Line Deutschland is operational, and one in the Far East, where Domus Line Asia Pacific is based, now joined by Domus Line Internacional. It also boasts an extensive network of commercial partners guaranteeing the distribution of its products in all five continents.
The financial results confirm the success of the internationalisation strategy that has always characterised Domus Line, with a growth target for 2023 of +10% on total revenues compared to the previous year.
